Orthodontic treatment are commonly misconceived as meant only for children or teens in correct improperly aligned teeth. Adult braces have however become increasingly popular over the years and many individuals now have the opportunity to improve their smile even after passing junor years. 

Clarity™ Aesthetic Braces from 3M Unitek are a clear braces combining passive self-ligating brackets with high-tech archwires. Self-ligating braces do not require the use of elastic bands but instead uses a unique clip on the bracket itself to hold the arch wire in place. This clip is made from temperature-sensitive Nitinol material available only from 3M. 

Orthodontics treatment involves tooth alignment as well as treatment of dental and associated facial irregularities. Their work consists of treating different conditions such as tooth crowding, overbites, underbites and gaps between teeth. Corrective appliances such as braces, active plates and retainers are used in orthodontic treatments. 

Ordinary traditional braces use elastic bands or o-rings in hold the archwire with the brackets. Self-ligating braces does not require ligatures or small bands-o-rings. Instead, self-ligating braces uses a unique clip to hold the arch wire in place.
